Queer Femme Photographer, Historian and Organizer

Andie Mckenzie Meadows is a Chicago based photographer, historian and organizer. Her work facilitates visibility for the members of her community not represented or supported by the BOY in Chicago’s Boystown. She combines contemporary photography of her community with historic research into it’s roots to create a balanced visibility for Femme, Trans, GNC, and POC folk. It’s important to remember that nothing is new and our work carries the legacy of centuries of invisible, marginalized labor that came before us.

Andie sits on the OUT at Chicago History Museum Committee and gives historical LGBTQIA walking tours through Chicago for Chicagoans and Atlas Obscura. She is also a professional photographer and has worked with LinkedIn, Oracle, Do312, IT Presents and more from headshots, to portraiture to nightlife documentation.

All photography work is priced on a sliding scale basis for queer community. If you’d like to inquire about collaborating or booking Miss Meadows, please see the contact form below.
